• Transforms the TECHNICAL ORGANIZATIONAL ECONOMICS problems posed in a non-mathematical language into mathematical problems.

One Day Faculty Development Programme – 12 Dec 2009

One Day Faculty Development Programme organized by Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust was held on 12.12.2009 at our engineering college campus for our faculty members on the theme TEACHING THE TEACHERS in which Prof.Dr.Rajaganesan, AICTE Advisor,Formerly Prof. & Head,Department of Education,University of Madras lectured on Promoting Classroom Interacting Ability of the Students in the Technical Institutions which really instigated our teachers to get involved in the classroom teaching through interaction.

Second Lecture was delivered by Prof.Dr.Ramani,Registrar,PRIST University, Thanjavur on Concept Specifics with Text Orientation which enabled our teachers to understand the nuances and various methods of using text in teaching.

The last lecture for the day was delivered by Mr.Subramanian @ Nm. Nambikkai Manian HR Consultant, C-HRD on the topic Text Basic to make Learner Centered.

This one day faculty development programme brought in effectiveness and efficiency in teaching to a larger extent.

Driver’s Stress Control and Road Safety

In recent past we conducted a Programme on “DRIVERS’ STRESS CONTROL AND ROAD SAFETY” obviously useful for the Transport Operators of the College and the staff related to Transport section also the Drivers of Trust Office to the tune of 40 plus.

The Programme was more useful and made awareness between the Drivers to overcome the Stress and on road safety. The Programme was held at the Corporate Office of the College of Engineering on 20th December, 2009 (Sunday) between 10 AM to 4 PM with appetizing lunch.

The Secretary & Correspondent Janab. S. SEGU JAMALUDEEN presided over the Function. Other renown speakers, viz. Mr. S. SAMBANDAN, Psychologist & HR Trainer, Dr. C. RAJU, B.Sc., B.E., P.I.E. PGD Ph.D., Mr. SIKKANDER KUMAR JAIN, BPT. MD (Acup) with Mr. R. SRIHARI, BPT highlighted the gathering with their valuable speech on Stress Control, Road Safety, Yoga and First Aid.

Regional Technical Institutions Conclave 2009

The department of English had organized III Regional Technical Institutions conclave on 12th of August, 2009. The topic of the conclave was on soft skills specifics in curriculum with particular reference to Engineering Students.

The Principal, Prof. Dr. M.Murali Krishna, welcomed the gathering and the conclave was presided over by the chairman, Alhaj. Dr. S.M.Shaik Nurddin and inaugurated by Dr. R.Ramachandran Vice Chancellor University of Madras in his inaugural address. He said that approximately 70% of the Engineering Graduates could not be employed as they lacked good communication and other allied skills as expected of them by the Industrial Houses.

The conclave was attended by the Teachers from Engineering Colleges. The 43 Delegates who presented the paper where from Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Dr. Dhavavelan, Professor of English from Anna University and Dr. Ramani, Registrar from Prist University.
