NIZARA ISLAMIC MEET

I hope you would agree with me that while there is a great enthusiasm among the present generation for acquisition of knowledge in various arts and sciences there is an absolute lack of interest in such branches as HIFZ, QIRATH, ISLAMIC HISTORY. Thus there is a greater emphasis on material than on moral values.

To create interest among students, to take up these branches of learning and also to raise moral & spiritual standards, we will be holding an Islamic Meet, State level competitions in HIFZ, QIRATH, AZ’AAN and QUIZ on 16th of august 2014 at Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering, Chennai for the under graduate students of all colleges in state. The last date for registration has been fixed on 3rd august 2014. The details of competitions are enclosed herewith.

Personalities like you can play a vital role in preserving and popularizing these branches as well as learning and seeking your valuable co-operation in this noble endeavour by participating in these competitions after proper training and studies through your dynamic influence. As participants require sufficient preparation, an early regard would go a long way in success of these competitions and achieving our objective.

•  QIRATH: In addition to knowing Qirath, the applicants should have the Tajweed of the holy Quran.
•  HIFZ: Only for those who have memorized the complete Quran. The competition will be held in Last 10 juz.
•  AZ’AAN: same qualifications as that of Quirath
•  ISLAMIC QUIZ: This is open to all. Separate quiz will be conducted in Tamil and English. Questions will be related to Islamic studies.

•  Candidates should not be over 30 years of age. For Quiz competition alone the upper age limit is 22 years.
•  Maximum of 8 participants are allowed per Islamic institutions.
•  Maximum of 5 participants are allowed per non-islamic institutions.
•  A candidate cannot take part in all the competitions. Qirath & Az’aan or Quiz
•  Those who are participating in the Hifz competitions should produce the original of the authentic course completion at the time of the competition.
•  Travelling and incidental expenditures will be the responsibility of the candidates.
•  Boarding and lodging arrangements for the participants who are coming from outside Chennai will be made by the institution at its expense during the days of the competitions.
•  The last date for the registration is 03-08-2014.
