Women’s Day Celebration-2019

To celebrate, appreciate, respect and love towards women, International Women’s Day Celebration was organized on 08 March , 2019 at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Auditorium in the campus of Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering. The celebration started traditionally with the qirath by Aaliya, Student of Final year ECE followed with Tamil Thai Valthu by college choir. The occasion was graced by more than 400 girl students and faculties from all the Aalim Muhammed Salegh Group of educational Institutions. Our Secretary and Correspondent Alhaj S.Segu Jamaludeen delivered a Welcome Address and highlighted the importance of Women Empowerment and achievements, insisted that every woman is inspiring and should be inspiring in the society.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest. Srimathi. Manimekalai Siddharth , Poet, Speaker, judge for debates, has given her awe-inspiring and overwhelming speech that inspired the gathering and motivated young woman to attain the independent state in the society.

Oratorical competition

Oratorical Competition was conducted on 08th March, 2019 on the topic Career Oriented women as Socio-Economic Leader, Family head and Professional Head. One faculty and two students have represented their institution.

A thought provoking skit was performed by Students of Computer Science and Engineering Department to express the criticizing society that creates enormous hurdles for women.

The Chief Guest honored the winners of various events conducted with mementos Essay competition (Engineering):

First Prize- Ms. saba Zehra ( I year IT)

Second Prize – Ms. Arul Selvi (II year CIVIL)

Essay competition (Architecture):

First Prize- Ms. Namritha/III ARCH

Second Prize – Ms. Aarti/III ARCH

Essay competition (Polytechnic):

First Prize- Ms. Saranya/ECE

Second Prize – Ms. Fiza Fahameen/CSE

Oratorical competition:

First prize – Asst. Prof. Anitha Maskhrenmas / Architecture

Second prize – Asst.Prof. Gayathri/ Engineering / Maths.

First prize – Karunya student of final year/ Arch

Second prize – srishma Student of second year/ Engg /CSE

Third prize – Jennifer Student of final year/ Polytechnic / ECE.

Consolation prizes were given to motivate other participants.

 

Prizes were distributed to faculties, who won in lucky corner conducted  at placement Cell seminar hall on 07th March, 2019.

Second Prize: Asst.Prof. Surya/Physics , Polytechnic

Third Prize: Asst.Prof. Priya/EEE, Polytechnic

 

Prizes were distributed to students of Computer Science and Engineering performed skit on social message. The following students are:

The competitions indeed have brought out the inhibited talent of the participants to unveil their substantial views on the topic and to relate the topic with the real society at present, followed by vote of thanks by Asst.Prof. Ponnarasi/ Polytechnic and National Anthem. Students and faculties stated that it was stirring celebration and expecting great events to happen in the next year, truly motivated to increase their potentiality to grow as an individual and to witness the growth in the society as well.
