ALUMNI GET TOGETHER 2011

We are pleased to put on record that we have conducted Fourth Alumni Meet for Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering. The Event was conducted on 13th February 2011 at Hotel Abu Palace, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai .Invitations have been forwarded through Email intimating the Alumni students pertaining to the event. Newspaper publications were also given in all leading Newspapers to reach the entire alumnus. Mr. MD. Shakeel Akhter I.P.S. IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Chennai Police was the Chief Guest of the inaugural function of the Alumni Meet. Alhaj. Dr. S.M. Shaik Nurddin, Founder and Chairman, Mrs. S.F. Hafisa, Secretary and Correspondent, Mr. M. Abul Hassan I.A.S.(Retd.), Director, Mr. M.Y. Ahamed Hijaz, Joint Secretary, Mrs. S.A. Nasrin, Trustee, Prof. Dr. M. Murali Krishna, Principal, Placement Officer and Heads of all the Departments have attended the Meet.

Around 190 Alumnus had participated in this meeting. It was a wonderful occasion to meet and share the experiences with the Alumni who graduated from the institute over the past Seven years, especially the seniors who graduated during its infancy.

Faculty members from all the departments of Engineering college have participated and interacted with the Alumnus.

Addressing the Inaugural function Learned Principal, Prof. Dr. M. Murali Krishna extended a hearty welcome to the alumnus, Chief Guest and the dignitaries to the Alumni Meet. In his speech Prof. Dr. M. Murali Krishna requested the alumni for their active support and suggestions for the growth and development of the Alumni Foundations in particular and the Institute in general in the national and international scenario.

Founder and Chairman of Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust Alhaj. Dr. S.M. Shaik Nurddin extended a hearty welcome to the Alumnus and appealed to them that Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the Institution and a very vibrant relationship must be established and nurtured.

The Chief Guest, Mr. MD. Shakeel Akhter I.P.S, advised the Alumnus how to build a strong carrier and also to contribute to the Nation’s growth. An opportunity was given to every Alumnus to share their experience. All the participants opined that the Alumni could play an active role in growth and development of the institution and also pledged their active support for the same. All the members present were enthusiastic in assuring the Management of the College that they would be helpful for the Placement interests of Students and assured to contribute for the betterment of the College.

Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. A.S. Salma Banu Asst Prof. and HOD/ECE- Alumni coordinator. The meeting came to an end with a sumptuous lunch. In the post lunch session, the alumni came up with many suggestions regarding the syllabus of courses, laboratory development etc. They also offered their services in the growth of Department. The general Body meeting of the Alumni Association was held and a new Executive body of Alumni Association for the year 2011-2012 was formed as detailed below.

Many of the Alumni expressed their willingness to help the Institution in training, placement, development of modern laboratories, and delivery of expert lectures in emerging areas of technology.

A feedback was also collected from alumni regarding the organizational aspects of the Meet and their suggestions for improvement in professional training at AMSCE. The Alumni Meet closed at a very emotional note. However, everyone appreciated the efforts by the AMSCE in organizing the Meet. Everyone departed with the resolve to visit again and spread the message amongst all who could not visit this time.
