The Student Counselling Service is here to help you to manage any difficulties you are experiencing so you can enjoy and fully participate in your time here at College.
Some of you may find the transition from school to college quite difficult to negotiate or you may experience personal or family problems which interfere with your academic and social life in college. One to one counselling gives you the opportunity to talk to someone about any problems you may be experiencing.
This is a confidential and free service. Counsellor is professionally trained and bound by professional code of ethics.
Some of the problems students look for help with are often related to stress, lack of motivation, depression, parental separation, addiction, eating problems, loneliness, relationship difficulties, sexual or personal identity, academic or study concerns.
You can call in to our service at Student Counselling Centre, 1st Floor, PG Block, Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering, Muthapudupet, IAF Avadi, Chennai – 600 055.
If you have never attended the Student Counselling Service but would like a quick chat (20 mins) with a student counsellor about issues you are experiencing, call to the Service between college hours (9.00 AM – 3.00 PM). No prior booking is necessary but please come early as consultations are prioritised on a 'first come first served' basis.
